Cupro fabric
Cupro is a biodegradable textile fiber. It is made from the short cotton seed fibers that cannot be processed into cotton yarn and would therefore end up in the waste. The production of cupro was forbidden for a long time because it required copper and ammonia. The Japanese company Asahi Kasei has optimized the production of cupro so that the large amounts of water and chemicals remain in a closed circuit until they are completely exhausted. The chemicals used are then free of toxic or dangerous compounds for health and the environment.

Our Italian supplier processes the fibers from Japan into a fabric that is characterized by a silky yet warm feel.

Material composition 91% Cupro | 9% elastane
