What is linen?
Linen properties - sustainability and longevity
Linen fabric requires no pesticides and no additional water other than rainwater and all parts of the plant are used. The flax fiber fabric is also completely biodegradable, making it a good choice for those who shop environmentally consciously. Additionally, one of the main advantages of linen fabrics is their durability. Due to the thickness and strength of the fiber, it can withstand much more than cotton or polyester. A sign of its longevity is that it gets softer with every use and wash - instead of losing stability, the fiber slowly changes texture.

Why we love linen
Easy to handle - linen “wrinkles elegantly”
Linen is one of the few fabrics where you want to see a few wrinkles throughout the weave. They are part of its charm and complement the naturally textured look of the fabric. If you choose linen clothes, you can put the iron aside and allow for wrinkles. This creates a relaxed, vibrant look that is effortless to achieve and looks beautiful.
Hypoallergenic
Linen fabric is beneficial for people with sensitive skin as it is less likely to trigger allergic reactions. It is cooling when worn and sleeping because it is hygroscopic (linen binds water). It absorbs water quickly, wicks it away from the skin and then dries quickly. Because of its weave and the natural properties of the flax plant, linen fabric is naturally breathable and allows air to flow between the fibers.
