The fabric is spun in a top-class Italian weaving mill using the doppio ritorto method, which plays an important role in fine shirts and gives the fabric its elasticity. Double-twisted cotton is compact, less prone to wrinkling, and therefore easier to iron. Because it is more opaque than other fabrics, it conceals a T-shirt or undershirt worn underneath.

DI LINO stands for fashionable shirts that are environmentally friendly and sustainably made from organic cotton or organic linen fabric (GOTS).

Di Lino has a vision for the larger world. Their goal is to counterbalance today's resource-wasting fast fashion industry. The raw materials of their products are sustainable and have the highest possible quality standards. The products are handmade in southern Italy (Puglia) and are therefore 100% MADE IN ITALY.

In addition to the success of the brand, the Di Lino team is also keen to give something back to their region of origin. With every “di lino product” sold, they plant a young, healthy olive tree in Puglia (Lecce). In recent years, entire olive groves there have fallen victim to an aggressive bacterium and died. Many olive farmers today fear for their existence. By purchasing one of the shirts, every di lino customer helps a southern Italian farming family reforest their olive trees.

It is very important to the label to show people that sustainability, environmental help and cool fashion do not have to be contradictory.
