Moya Kala – Fair Fashion from Switzerland with a Conscience

Purist design, high-quality materials, and fair production: Moya Kala demonstrates how timeless fashion and social responsibility can be brought together. With the new AW26 collection, a new selection from the Swiss fair fashion brand is now joining NUVONDA.

Moya Kala: Fashion for women – made with women

Behind Moya Kala are founders Claudine Tanner and Sabina Gasser and a shared vision: to create fashion that is aesthetic and durable, while respecting the people who make it.

The story of the Swiss brand began in 2017. From the start, Moya Kala aimed to offer an alternative to the problematic structures of the conventional textile industry. Therefore, the focus is on ethically managed production, high-quality and environmentally friendly materials, and fair working conditions.

The name beautifully encapsulates the brand's aspiration: Moya Kala means "my Calla lily" in Bulgarian. The Calla lily stands for elegance, minimalism, and dignity – three qualities that are also reflected in the design of the collections.

Fairly produced in Bulgaria

A special part of Moya Kala's philosophy is the long-term collaboration with a family-run textile company in Varna, Bulgaria.

Production in Bulgaria was a conscious choice. Moya Kala aims to create fair jobs and long-term prospects for women there. The seamstresses work in a small family business with which the brand collaborates closely and cooperatively.

According to Moya Kala, wages are significantly above the legal minimum wage. Employees are insured and are not to be burdened with excessive overtime. Some of the seamstresses have been working for the family business for over 30 years.

Furthermore, 1% of Moya Kala's turnover goes into a fund for the seamstresses and their families. This extends the brand's fair fashion concept beyond the actual production.

Second Skin: Clothing that feels good

"Second Skin" is one of the central ideas behind Moya Kala. The garments should feel like a second skin – the materials used are accordingly important.

When selecting materials, Moya Kala focuses on quality, durability, and the most responsible use of resources possible. This includes the use of recycled and more resource-efficient materials.

At the same time, the brand demonstrates something that is also important to us at NUVONDA: More sustainable fashion is not just about a single material or label. The interplay of material choice, quality, production, working conditions, and how long a garment can be worn is crucial.

Versatile Style: made for the Capsule Wardrobe

Moya Kala also deliberately focuses on longevity in design. Instead of short-lived trends, the focus is on minimalist cuts, subtle colors, and versatile combination options.

Many styles can be worn differently depending on the combination and integrated into an existing wardrobe over several seasons. This makes them ideal for a Capsule Wardrobe: fewer, but easily combinable garments that allow for new looks again and again.

It is precisely this mix of comfort, aesthetics, and versatility that makes Moya Kala particularly exciting for us.

New at NUVONDA: Moya Kala AW26

With the new Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, Moya Kala addresses the theme of change. Life is rarely linear – we evolve, change, and go through new phases again and again.

The collection translates this idea into flowing silhouettes and convertible styles that can accompany different situations and phases of life.

The color palette also remains closely connected to nature. Sophisticated earth tones dominate the collection and can be easily combined with each other and with existing basics.

A highlight is the new Cupro color Dusty Olive: a subtle, slightly muted olive that pairs particularly well with black, grey, cream, and other natural tones.

Cupro™ meets flowing silhouettes

Cupro™ and Tencel™ particularly suit Moya Kala's aesthetic. The cellulose-based fibers have a soft, smooth feel and a flowing drape. This makes even minimalist cuts look elegant without being too formal.

This is precisely how these uncomplicated looks, for which Moya Kala stands, are created: comfortable to wear, minimalist in design, and versatile to combine.

Whether as a complete look or combined with existing favorite pieces – the new AW26 styles are not meant for a single moment, but as long-term companions.

Fair Fashion that doesn't have to be loud

What we particularly like about Moya Kala is the combination of design, fairness, and social commitment. Sustainability is not understood here as a short-term trend, but runs through the brand from material selection and production to cooperation with the seamstresses.

At the same time, the fashion remains pleasantly understated: clean lines, beautiful materials and colors that don't have to disappear from the wardrobe after just one season.

Or in other words: Fair Fashion that you wear not only for its story, but because it simply looks good and feels good.
