Pride Month: Why Openness Still Matters
Every year in June, Pride Month is celebrated worldwide. For many people, it is a symbol of visibility, equality, and the freedom to live one's life as it feels right.
Sometimes the question is asked whether a Pride Month is even necessary today. Our answer is: As long as people are discriminated against, excluded, or disadvantaged because of their sexual orientation or gender identity, visibility remains important.
Diversity is part of everyday life
At NUVONDA, we don't make a big spectacle out of it. Not because we don't care about the issue – but because we believe that openness and respect should be a matter of course.
We believe in a world where everyone has the freedom to develop, to go their own way, and to express their personality. This includes the freedom to wear clothes that feel right – regardless of gender roles, expectations, or societal boxes.
That's why you'll find many styles with us that are deliberately uncomplicated, versatile, and partly unisex. Fashion should connect, inspire, and bring joy – not exclude.
Clothing as an expression of personality
Fashion has always been more than just fabric and seams. It can be a statement, convey a feeling, or simply show who we are.
Some people deliberately express their attitude through colors, prints, or symbols. Others prefer a more restrained style. Both are perfectly fine.
At NUVONDA, you will also always find products with rainbow elements or messages that stand for openness, diversity, and respectful coexistence. Not as a trend, but as an expression of an attitude.
Live and let live
Ultimately, for us, it's about something very simple: people should have the freedom to shape their lives as they wish – as long as they don't harm others.
We wish for a society where differences do not divide, but enrich. A world where no one has to explain or justify who they are.
Pride Month reminds us that we are not yet at this point everywhere. At the same time, it is an occasion to celebrate all the progress that has already been made.
That's why we support the idea behind Pride: openness, respect, and the freedom to be yourself.
Or, to put it in a few words:
Live and let live.
