About the brand

Matona was born in 2016 from a simple idea: Katharina started sewing clothes for her son. The first one-off pieces soon became small series, small series turned into the first orders from shops, and a sewing table in Vorarlberg grew into a fashion label that is now run by Katharina and David as a family business.
What started with children's clothing grew along with their own family: the women's collection was created from the same concept of clothing that accompanies different body shapes through pregnancy, breastfeeding, and beyond. Today, ten years later, Matona reaches over 100 retailers in more than 30 countries, having grown from the very same principles with which it all began.
