Matona began in 2016 with a simple idea: Katharina sewed clothes for her son herself. The first individual pieces soon turned into small series, the small series into the first orders from shops, and a sewing table in Vorarlberg into a fashion label that is now run as a family business together with Katharina and David.
What started with children's clothing grew along with their own family: the women's collection was born from the same consideration for clothing that accompanies different body shapes, through pregnancy, breastfeeding, and beyond. Today, ten years later, Matona reaches over 100 retailers in more than 30 countries, having grown from the very principles with which it all began.
